This year the Youth Advocacy Summits are a part of FREE FEST! The Summits are regional trainings for the youth advocates of the Mississippi Tobacco-Free Coalitions (MTFCs). The advocates will receive training on the Counter Tobacco Point of Sale activities: “The Walking Tobacco Audit,” and “A Point of Sale Photovoice Project” and the Counter Tobacco Advocacy activity: “POS Scavenger Hunt.” The goal is to equip each MTFC Director and youth advocate with the materials, resources and motivation to return to their schools and communities to continue the fight against Big Tobacco. It is imperative that all of your youth advocates attend this regional training for instructions regarding these activities.
• FREE FEST Field Trip Permission Form (to be signed by MTFC Director/Legal Guardian)

Thank you again for your interest in FREE FEST – we look forward to seeing you there!!!
As part of the Generation FREE movement, it is my responsibility to help my peers understand how they can reach their goals and realize their dreams. I know that tobacco kills nearly 4,700 people in Mississippi every single year, and the tobacco industry wants young people like me to replace all of the people who die from using their products every year. That's why I pledge to be tobacco free and help my peers and others in my community understand the dangers of all tobacco products.
